Katie Lane Obituary


Katie Lane (formerly Katie Wilson) was born in Miami, Florida on December 26, 1922, where she was raised, attended school and worked.
She was a proud Miami native and beloved by her community.
Miss Lane joined St. John’s Baptist Church in 1956 where she served God and was a faithful member in good standing for over 50 years.
In the late 1980’s, Katie met and wed Guy Lane, a professional Barber and business owner. They made their home in the Liberty City area and remained happily married until Guy’s passing several years later.
Miss Lane was blessed with the gift of longevity and lived a quiet, productive life.
She lives forever in our hearts and will be deeply missed.
Miss Lane is survived by her niece, Juanita McIntosh. Grandnieces Gayle Wheeler and Phyllis Foster; Grandnephews Cliff McIntosh and Michael Foster; Great nephews Leonard Smith, Martin Wheeler, Ernest Stephens; Michael Foster Jr., Mikel Foster, Corey Foster and Tyrone Foster; Great Grandnieces Shawn Watkins-Carroll and Laurastein Foster; Great Grandnephew, Kerry Foster; Great, Great nephew Ralphel Watkins and Louise Foster (wife of deceased Grandnephew Ralph Foster)
