Three young morticians possessed the desire and had the interest to function in a more independent way. After sharing ideas and discussing views, the Hall- Ferguson- Hewitt Mortuary Parnership was initially organized, in 1970, by Milton A. Hall, Tony E. Ferguson and Elmer E. Hewitt, but started on June 24, 1973 to provide funeral services to the community. The plan for establishing this funeral home was based upon the incresed demand for funeral homes to serve the black community.

The goal of the proprieters of Hall- Ferguson- Hewitt Mortuary P.A. is to serve the community with dignity and integrity. H/F/H offers a wide array of services to their clientele which includes but is not limited to: Cremations, full funeral services (viewing, on-site or off-site chapel services, and burials), pre-paid funeral services, embalming, and restorative servies for remains that are not initially suitable for viewing prior to reaching the funeral home.

Hall- Ferguson- Hewitt Mortuary, P.A, has been at the same location from its inception, 1900 N.W. 54th Street, Miami, Florida 33142 and has weathered many storms. The proprieters of Hall- Ferguson- Hewitt Mortuary P.A.reached the conclusion that although there were several funeral homes in the area, there were not enough funeral homes to accommodate the ever increasing demand for funeral services within the black community. With their combined experience of over 35 Years at that time and establishing themsleves in Liberty City, which is the heart of Liberty City they knew that would make their visible to the intended market. Although Hall- Ferguson- Hewitt Mortuary P.A.primarily markets the black community, the market is not limited by: Gender, age, working class or financial status.

Hall- Ferguson- Hewitt Mortuary's strategy is simple - provide the most professional, personal and efficient services found in the community. The proprieters of Hall- Ferguson- Hewitt Mortuary P.A. will not compromise the high degreee of professionalism that they show to each family.
